Need help, applying T1Dependent this month from Pakistan.

Post by hsyasin » Fri Jul 12, 2013 9:06 am

Hi all,
I'm a bit confused about attaching wedding pics with the application.
The thing is, we only had a nikkah ceremony not proper rukhsati, as we decided that as soon as she gets her visa, I'll goto pakistan and have baraat and walima.
So, we do have pics where we're sitting together, and with families as well.
Also, one or two pics where we're going outside the hall.
So, my question is, has anyone applied just based on nikkah?
And, can home office put an objection based on nikkah only?

Kindly respond soon, as I'm a bit worried :(

Don't make yourself confused nikkah is wedding and nikah nama is the proof of your wedding. Ruksati and valima are just part of our big subcontinental wedding so if you do have few nikkah photos then submit them with your application and just to clear photos are not mandatory but people still do submit it to support their application so there's no harm..

I had my nikkah ceremony in Feb this year then we applied in late May and got our visa in late June now I'm planning to go on eid and do all those rukhsati thing and come together ...

for your reference we submitted our application with following list of documents (some of the documents are not required by the book but with the help of this forum we thought these supporting docs might helps visa officer to make decision)

4. Bank Statement of Primary Sponsor [Husband]
5. Letter from bank confirming funds [Husband]

9. Tax Document (P60)
10. Southern Gas & Electricity Bill
11. NHS Medical Card
12. UK Full Driving Licence
13. Nikah Nama (In English)
14. Marriage Registration Certificate (from NADRA)
15. Few Wedding Photographs
16. Wedding Invitation Card
17. Home Office Acknowledge Letter for last Visa Extension
