I am a US citizen in the process of obtaining a UK student visa. However, I would also like, if possible, to visit France for a week before entering the UK. I would like to know if anyone can tell me if it's possible to enter the UK from France, using the student visa that I receive from the UK. Preferably over the British Channel instead of by air. I have tried to find this information on various government and customs websites without any luck. If anyone has any knowledge, experience, or links to credible websites, it would be extremely appreciated.
