Hello everyone!!
I seldom visit this forum and whenever i visit, i do find something interesting and this visit was no different. In fact I was extremely shocked and profoundly happy reading the case of Mr Basnet which has been posted on this forum. link given below:

The one reason this case astonishes me is I went through similar situation. The only difference being i didn't appeal against the decision though i knew it was completely unfair.
After my enrolment for MBA at an institution, I applied for extension with UKBA but my application was turned down in first place with a silly excuse from UKBA that they couldn’t access my fund from my bank card. Following that I made another application (within couple of days with postal draft) and this time the catch was I lost my student established presence(my leave to remain has expired) which required more funds to be shown applicable for 9 months. I didn’t realized this situation and unknowingly when I made the application to UKBA, my application was turned down on the basis of insufficient maintenance funds.
I was given a month to leave UK and I did rang a number that I was given by UKBA regarding my passport which was held by them who told me that I had 30 days from the day of the second letter from UKBA to leave UK.
So I left UK in about 28 days after I received my second letter from UKBA. Why I am telling you these is just before I boarded the plane, there was a couple of immigration enforcement team who asked for my passport (i collected it few hours earlier from heathrow) and the letter from home office( denial letter). They checked it and just put a ban of 1 year on me to enter UK as they took the date of the 1st denial letter from UKBA as reference date and it was few months back i received that letter. I did try to explain them the situation and my conversation with one of their staff but they didn't listen to anything and i got my year ban. This was like a cherry on top of everything unfair that happened to me.
BTW I am also from Nepal just like Mr Basnet.
Well i am already settled back in my country now and seeing the case of Mr Basnet bought all those memory flooding back at me. I am well surprised yet very happy as this is a big slap on the face of UKBA who thinks they can do anything and people just have to tolerate/follow it.
It has been more than year and half I have been back in Nepal. I came back 7 years after on Oct 2011. Not that I want to go back to UK but I was wondering if i could do something to prove that their decision on my case was completely wrong!!
Lemme knw if anyone has any idea!
Thank you
Regards
