If born abroad, then it'll be by discretion for registration, if you're not naturalised, meaning it will depend on the nationality of the parents amongst other things.faislondon wrote:What if the child is born abroad?. I am on ILR can I still register the child for BC back home? .
If you naturalise before the child's birth, then the child will be British, if after and not born in the UK, the child will not be British but may be able to register in the future in the UK, subject to discretion. If you have ilr and the child is born in the UK, the child is automatically British.faislondon wrote:If I am on ILR. Then does the child gets the nationality or I have to first become BC?
