Eu treaty problem for application

Hi all,a friend of mine have stamp 4eu fam,his visa expires next month, he is married to lithuanian girl,n got divorce last year,but however,she has 3 years, eu treaty practice.will his visa be renewed.

How long were you married? Was your wife living and working/studying in Ireland at the time of the divorce?
Otherwise, do you have custody or access rights to a child you had with your wife and who is living in Ireland?

Married 3 yrs from 2006 ,working as waitress,study 2 yrs, m was baby sitting,
Then got divorce in 2012 at that time the woman was residing in lituania in time of divorce.no custody n acess to child as the son was not his

Unfortunately I think it will be tricky, as my understanding is that in theory as soon as his wife left Ireland your friend lost it right of residence in the country and the Stamp 4 EUFAM stopped being valid.

Hopefully someone else has a good suggestion though.
