Date of approval:7/09/2013 letter arrive 9/10/2013
Date of Ceremony: TBC

Date of acknowledgement : 04/09/2013 (dated 30/08/2013)
Date of Approval: TBC
Date of Ceremony: 19/11/2013

I received a letter today from my local council and it says my application has been APPROVED and I should attend my ceremony on the 19th of next month.

Really over the moon and finally, I mean finally, I get my citizenship.

Good luck to those still waiting for their approvals letter to arrive....

I have just updated the approval date really for the benefit of thers. I have also opted for private ceremony (forwarded it) to bring my British citizenship journey to an end!

How much does they charge you to book a pvt ceremony? Does it has to be only on weekdays?

Hi britApp2013,

They charge 100 pounds for weekdays and 125 for Saturdays. It's Ealing Borough Council. I called yesterday and I was given the option to attend the private either on Wednesday (tomorrow) or Friday.

I've applied on 28 Aug, rec'd the acknowledgement on 1/9/2013.

I rang them yesterday and lady said, when did you apply I mentioned the date I feel like without even looking in the system she said it is still in process.

I doubt on the provided information to be honest??

but could be right as I haven't rec'd anything yet.
