You would require the marriage certificate and your spouse's passport or their birth certificate which, if born in the UK can be gained (a certified copy) from the GRO.Wolex PM wrote:
I obviously wouldn't meet up with the document to submit or how do you mean technically?
wolex wrote:Hey guys,
I'm still a bit confused with this thing or may be my case,it goes thus,
I got to UK in 2008,got married 2009,had my ILR in 2012,but the problem, me and my wife ain't together any longer.
Between 2008& now, that's 5 years,am I qualified or need a year more to be qualified?
I haven't got any immigration issue but I'm a bit confused with the fact that we ain't together and getting the time right.
Advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.
VR wrote:Hi,
You say you got ILR in 2012.
Also when you say you are not together, do you mean you got a decree absolut?
Anycase you should be able to apply in 2013 after a year of the date of getting ILR assuming you meet all the other requirements.
Hope this helps.
cheers

wolex wrote:Hi,
I think it will be good to say THANKS to you guys, I did ask a question sometimes ago and your response was helpful.
You suggested I should ask my wife for assistance and I did,she was helpful and gave all I needed.thanks a lot.
Secondly, on the form AN,they're asking for her address and as we don't live together our addresses ain't the same,my question is,does it matter if I put my address instead or what's your suggestion please.
wolex wrote:About to make an application but don't live with my wife, where they are asking for her address, what's the best to put, mine address or hers?
I'm thinking of putting mine but on a second thought,if they want me to supply any document from her, won't that be taken as being dishonest?
What do you guys think?
Cheers

As long as you are still legally married, it is fine as long as you have her passport, birth or naturalisation certificate and marriage certificate if applying on the basis of spouse of British Citizen and 3 years residency.
I was separated when I did my application but I put my address as my husband's even though he was living elsewhere and UKBA did not check this at all because he gave me his passport in support of my application and we were still married.
Well, since it is your final lap or hurdle... it is better to be HONEST, that is where good character comes in. If you don't live together, then put the different addresses. Just my opinion...vinny wrote:wolex wrote:About to make an application but don't live with my wife, where they are asking for her address, what's the best to put, mine address or hers?
