Hi, I got my ILR last month and been here in UK from 2006. I applied on SET M form so I am eligible for naturalisation. I gone through the form the problem is I do not know anyone professional who can attest the form. Can I simply go to a solicitor for attestation ?

Have you read the form AN? In particular have you read :-
they have known the applicant personally for more than 3 years
Have you have known the Solicitor for at least three years? If the answer to that is "yes" then clearly there is not a problem. But if "no" then clearly the Solicitor would not sign for you.

Thanks alot John. Unfortunately I do not know anyone professional for three years here in the UK but I read in this forum that a professional based and living abroad with any nationality can sign it . As I am myself an ACCA affiliate and i know many qualified ACCA/CA back in pakistan for more than three years. if they sign it, will it fulfill the requirement ?
