50k in UK-Applying from Outside UK-Please help

Post by bd-guy » Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:59 pm

Hi
I am planning to apply for Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa from Bangladesh. I have my family in UK who is willing to show 50k is available to me as they have bought some properties from me. The money is the part of prices they have paid to me. My question is does this sort of funding are eligible for Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa. I run many business in Bangladesh and I would like to expand my business territory in UK. What do they have to do in order to support my application. As far i know they have to go to a legal representative to make the declaration that they will give me the money to start my business in UK. And i have the maintenance fund available to my account in Bangladesh. I run a successful IT business and also i have shares in many other businesses. My problem is i do not have any formal qualifications as i have learnt everything about IT by my self. Basically my knowledge is practical not institutional . But I think I can achieve professional qualification in IT (ie-Microsoft certification,Linux, CCNA etc.)in order to demonstrate my knowledge in IT. Can some one please please help me with this matter? Many thanks in advance.

You need 200K to apply outside the UK and the funds must be liquid (non-cash assets arenot permitted).

The money is present in their bank account at present. is it possible to show that money in a joint venture with my sister who is in UK as a PSW visa holder. This money can be transferred to my sister if i ask them to do so. Does this will allow me to apply for the visa by showing 50k in my sisters account and we both applying together as a team?

The problem is that you are not a PSW migrant. To use the 50K entry threshold as a team, both team members must be PSW migrants. Otherwise, the team can still apply but only at the 200K entry level. Otherwise, your sister can apply as an individual at the 50K entry level. Whichever way you look at this, you need 200K if you expect to make an application.
41.[...] Your Entrepreneurial team member must also qualify to use the same amount of investment if the total amount available to your entrepreneurial team is £50,000 or more. If the other team member does not also qualify for this level of investment, the total amount available to the team must be at £200,000.

Thanks for your information. Can you please tell me where did you find this quote.

It will be really helpful if you can tell the source of that quote which will enable me to explore this matter further in order to make a successful application. Can i apply under 200k route if the money is available in UK? I mean i will submit my application in Bangladesh but the fund will be present in UK with the required documentation. thank you agian

I found it in the policy guidance; the one that you have obviously not read! Drag hi-light the quoted text and then right-click>search Google for "etc. etc." The first hit in the list that is generated should take you there.
