Out of UK proof letter

Post by smahmad » Tue Aug 20, 2013 12:13 pm

Hi,

I was on Work Permit for 1 year and was out of uk for 2 weeks ( it was a leisure trip) and then i was on Tier 2 (ICT) and was away for 3 weeks (again it was a leisure trip), after that i changed my visa to Tier 1 and as well as my employer.

I am not able to get any letter from my ex employer, can i provide a letter written by me stating that i was out of uk on personal holiday.

Thanks

As you absence is less than 180 days in 12 months you shouldn't be questioned about this.

I am going to apply for my ILR this october, just need to know answers to my queries, if you gurus can help me out with it then that would be great.

1. My wife joined me last year in september as she has not completed 5 yrs (as she arrived here after july 2012) she is not eligible for ILR, what kind of visa she should apply along with my application? ILR dependent??

2. does she needs to pass Life in the uk test even though she is not eligible for ILR?

regards,
Syed

It could be PBS dep leave or FLR(M). An A1 language requirement for FLR(M) in addition to the other requirements including the financial requirement.

I just called UKBA and they are saying she need not need to apply for any visa until her visa is expiring as her visa is expiring in 2015.

Now i am a bit confused. Please help me out with it.
