Maintenance funds single day balance more than 900 ***BUT***

Post by gbhsmp » Wed Aug 28, 2013 6:37 pm

Hi,

I have a query about the maintenance amount to be maintained for Tier1 General
In the bank statement single day shows a lot of transactions where the minimum balance in the account has gone negetive but the effective end of day balance for the day is >900 and the end of the day balance for consequtive 90 days has remained above 900.
Is this acceptable ? Or as per the UKBA, do they insist that the balance after each transaction (no matter how much per day) must be above £ 900

This is a URGENT query and please may I ask someone to answer soon

thanks

You have to maintain the required sum in your account for specified period, if the balance has gone down, even a penny, for a day and it is reflected in the bank statement, then you are in trouble. You will have to start over again.

Its really important that you have to maintain end of the day balance should be >900 though your intraday balance might go down in such scenarios you can go to bank and ask them for fund maintenance letter or you can check with them whats your minimum balance for the last 90 consecutive days. If its gone down then definitely you need start again otherwise you no need to worry.

hope this helps.

Hi,

The question is not about his bank balance going below 900 on a day. On one day, morning it was 1000, afternoon it went to -100 and then evening he payed 1100 on the account taking it back to 1000.

So effective end-of-day balance is 1000 for the day but somewhere in the middle of the day the balance went down.

Will this affect ?

from Policy:
We will always use the closing balance
date from the account that most favours the
applicant.

so what i can understand, it should be OK, still check with your bank if they give you a letter. which is one of alternative document.
