Permanent Residence Card - EUFAM

Post by El shaddai » Wed Sep 04, 2013 11:02 am

Hi all,
Can anybody share their experience regarding a permanent residence application under the eutreaty rights.

1. I applied for a permanent residence last March 05th 2013.

2. After documentation is sorted, i got a letter with the reference number to go to my local Garda for six month endorsement. which will be from 05th Mar to 04th Sept according to the letter.

3. But i didnt go for any stamp because my present Gnib card will expire on the 16th September.

4. i was told in the letter that my application will be decided within six months.

5. it's six months today and i havent heard anything from them and my card will expire next 10days. I have sent them an email and no reply yet.
Anybody have a clue what to do before the card expires?

Many thanks

Hi, did u applied via a solicitor or urself ?

Mine was granted exact on the last day of the 6 months completion. I would recommend to send EUTR a letter via the express post and explain that your GNIB card is due to expire and request for the grant.
Good Luck

They always do this and wait until the last minute - you case has probably decided on already but the letter went in the post at the last minute and you will get it this week.

If still no letter tomorrow and no answer to your email though ... keep emailing them so that it is clear the issue is not with you not following up but with them being late.

Thank
@calvinklien ; i applied by myself.

Got letter today but it was a bad news. My application was refused they said my wife exercised her treaty right only for a short period of time and they expect her to do that for a continuos period of five years. But it s senseless because there is little or no job in Ireland.

1. she was in college between 2006 till 2008

2. she worked in 2008

3. Job finished early 2009 and she registered with fas

4. Jobseeker allowance

5. Working with a charity shop for free since 2011 till date.

But they are not satisfy.

My Gnib card will expires next Monday 16th.

anybody has any practical advice on what to do? could there be any chance if i put in for Review of my refused application?

Every contribution will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi El shaddai,

The review have no time frame, they can take as long as they want, but your constant letters to EURT and max proofs can make the process faster. A friend of mine review is refused after 7 month.....

Hope for the best and best of luck.... its a little bit longer procedure, so good luck....
Plz send them the review form (EU4) on the correct address (which is mentioned at the bottom of the form) ASAP.

They didnt, they said only people from lower stamps can do that in order to upgrade their status.
