Hoping for my own good news by the end of this week. If you dont mind sharing, what number did you use to call HO for update? Just in case my letter does not arrive soon. :? :(

To make it easier, just give a call to your council and tell them you have received approval letter from HO and would like to book in for ceremony. They will ask you for the reference # which u got it on your acknowledgement. If at all a decision is made already HO contact the council first. If the council is able to find your ref# on their system! means your application is through and book a date for ceremony straight away. This worked for me very well & I think is the best way to know the status after 4-6 weeks.

Hi Sadahsan,
Then this could be a good reason to talk to HO and tell them u called about not receiving acknowledgement even after 6 weeks. They take ur date of application and other personal details to retrieve ur reference number. Note down the ref # also ask them the status of ur application. That should be fruitful.

Just contacted HO to find out my HO reference number - she sounded huffy but got my number. No update on status of my application...

Pisses me off that if they hadn't f**ed up my initial payment there's a high chance I'd have been approved already. Although I'm seeing at least 2 others who had same payment date and who already received approvals last couple of days... Fingers crossed.

Method of application: NCS Newham

Date of Debit of Fees: 24 Sept 2013 (delayed due to them screwing up payment, had to re-send form, caused 2 week delay)
Acknowledgement letter received : Pending
Date of approval/Invitation : Pending
Date of Ceremony : Pending
