No work from April 2012 till July 2013

Hi
I am applying child tax credit and work tax credit
I don't have work
Husband just got a job from aug 2013
With 33 hrs weekly (£867 gross paid monthly but the form just ask me to fill the no of hr not wages )
I just wrote £0 for income for last yr as no job
Would tax office grant credit base in current wages rather than last ur unemployment
