ILR Success in Sheffield PEO based on Tier 1 General

Post by Sherza » Wed Sep 11, 2013 3:45 pm

Hi All

I want to share my experience at the Sheffield PEO where I got my ILR approved yesterday. The staff at the centre was exceptionally helpful and polite. Took me one hour and 30 minutes to reach there from Nottingham. Found parking one block away (60-70 meters) at coordinates 53.386,-1.467584 (just put these numbers in Google map) for £3.80 all day. It’s kind of rundown car park.

I have been on Tier 1 General for 5 years and have been living in the UK for 8 years now. I applied for myself and my wife and while left my two children who are born in the UK. I intend to apply for them on NM1 form. I have been away for 70 days in the last 5 years.

Reached the Centre at 09:30 for 10:00 appointment. Took the ticket number and was called for documents collection at 09:45. Asked for the Application form first and then for Passports and BRP Cards. Then she checked the photos and asked when have we taken them. Then she asked for the supporting documents and copies. Biometrics were were taken at 11:30. After that we painfully waited for another two hours till 13:30 when a case worker introduced herself to us and told us that she has looked into our application and is waiting for the results of mandatory checks. She told us that we can go out and come back in 45 minutes and that she does not need any more documents from us. We came back at 14:10 and were told that our application has been successful. The case worker was very pleasant as well the rest of the staff.

The waiting area is rather small. There is no cafe, just vending machines and photo booth. The Electronic display board was not updating and we did not even know if our case was under consideration. Do not take children with you if not required as they will get board and will give headache.

Some documents that I Created and want to share with you

Post by Sherza » Wed Sep 11, 2013 5:17 pm

Here are some of the documents that I have created for my case and want to share with you. Let’s call me ADAM BROWN (which I am not). There is a chance that I might have left my personal details on any of these documents by mistake. In that case please let me know so that I can remove it. I have left the details in the Cohabitation document on purpose so that people can see what kind of documents can be submitted.

The Set(O) is can be edited in Foxit Reader as I have not hard printed the details on it. The rest of the documents are in word 2007 format.

1. Set(O) form - Sample - Based upon 5 Years Tier General

2. Evidence of Cohabitation

Hi jeremy001181

Basically you skip the Language and the Maintenance part of the calculator and put the details in like if you were extending your stay.

Here is the home office link

Thanks
