Switching to Dependent route and an interesting thought

Post by Andy12 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 3:50 pm

Hello all,

Hope you're all well. I wish you all good luck with your struggle in immigration and hope that your dreams come true.

Recently there are few changes and now in-country dependent switching is possible.

I may understand it wrong but here's a situation. How does the dependent switching work in here?

My wife is on Tier 1 PSW dependent visa and currently working for a company. They have license in place and agreed to sponsor her for Tier 2. They had to do RLMT cause she was not eligible for an exception and she had to go to her home country after the Tier 2 restricted CoS and assigned and to get a visa. The company will apply for restricted CoS next month.

Now,with the recent changes, will she need to go home? or can she get an unrestricted CoS (but still RLMT needed)?

Can someone clarify please? cause the HR will be asking the question soon, I guess.

Many thanks,
Andy
