No character reference, just state on a separate piece of paper, simple police caution given on xx date for state offence.

As it's not a conviction no. They'll do their own police check a disclosure is not required.

thanks and i am sure you would be irritated by now. but we can not offer anything apart from a lot of well wishes and will be indebt for your kindness, does not matter if we are successful or not.

I can not understand how someone can be so generous, patient and kind whilst no one ( so called solicitors) in same sociaty is ready to talk without payin 50-100 pounds for answering anything little thing.

God bless you.

Hi Amber,

Just quick question. If my ILR refused on 10th next tuesday ( worst case scenario), which other catogory I can apply? is that Teir 2? and should I take a filled form with me keeping in mind the worst?

just for background I am concerned due to police in 2009. i know it is outside the 24 months but still worried. basically had sunject assess and it noted caution for 2 offences on same date same time which make me more worry.

thanks

So long as 24 months has lapsed, you should be fine. Technically SET(LR) does not ask about cautions it only asks about convictions. However, in the interest of transparency you should consider mentioning it.

Hi Amber,

I and my wife have been granted ILR. I've no words to say you thanks. Had no. of sleepless nights with number of doubts. Anyhow, may be its part of game if case is not simple.

Amber we are working on our daughter - 2 years, to bring here as soon as possible now. She born here but currently with family back home. We know that we can apply for her nationality after MN1 form. But this process is time taking. We will do that once she come back. We trying to find how she can get entry clearance asap. Looking at vaf4a, and appendix vaf4a2 forms i could not find if these are correct forms to complete to apply our daughter. will be grateful if you can help in this regard.

Yes that would be the correct form VAF4A and Appendix A. Although, registration of a child on MN1 should only take 4-6 weeks and 4-6 weeks for a certificate of entitlement.

I stated that you would need to register the child as British first on MN1 then apply for CoE in total around 8-12 weeks I would think.

Sorry for unclear writing. I meant, as you guided, it will be more appropriate to apply for registeration MN1 first and then certificate of entitlement to the right of abode.

Only confusion here is, if I need to use form which is to be used for applicant outside or the other one. Just please confirm me which form i need to use as given in link 1 or in link 2 below?

Just get MN1 completed and sent in. I would also enquire whether you can ask for the CoE application to be done at the same time, in such case the caseworker could send both the certificate of registration and right to abode. I'd email ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk and ask.

Extremely Thanks Amber. I complete the MN1. I hope I will get my biometric within 2 -3 days.

Do you think I should ask my family to send us daughter's passport meanwhile as I think for CoE we need passport as well?

Email them and asks if it's possible first.
