family visitor visa granted applied for 2 months got 6 monts

Hi please can someone help me on this. I have applied for a family member to come and stay with me for 2 months. The visa stamp it says duration up to 6 months. Do i buy a return ticket for 2 months or 6 months.

visit visa time period is 6 months, then i think goes like 1 year, 5 year..

You can buy ticket 2 months or 6 months, its up to you.

Minimum you can get on a general visitor is 6 months however it doesn't necessarily mean he has to spend the 6 months in the UK! It's advisable to stick to the 2 months you initially applied for,that way when you want to extend the visa there won't be any problem!
