ILR Children born in UK

Post by myipatel » Sun Sep 29, 2013 12:25 pm

Hi Members,

I have just registered with this forum as I really found some valuable info here.

I have a query if someone can help, i would be very grateful.

Both me and my wife become eligible to apply for ILR in October 2013 and will be applying.

We have 2 kids, both BORN in UK while we were on work permit (under old rule before tier 2 was introduced), our older kid (daughter) was granted work permit dependent visa in June 2010. My SON was born in September 2012 and he doesn't even have a passport. We are from INDIA.

My query is DOES ANY OF MY CHILD need to apply for ILR or can we just apply for Naturalisation of British citizenship after we are granted ILR.

Your help will put me at ease so please reply.

No requirement for son.
Your choice for daughter. Unnecessary, if a parent is granted ILR.
