FLRO for other reasons

Hi all senior and junior members
i am tier 4 student in uk. my girl frind from Romania. we have given a marrige of notice and have got the ceremony card and date but unfortunately i have missed that date because my girlfirnd got some problems in her country and she has gone but will come back. but i dont know when will she come back.

the main reason of my post is;
1) my visa will gonna expire in last week of october 2013.
what should i do in these situations i think the marriage of notice is vlaid for 1 year.

2) if i apply for FLRO application so what i should say to the home office to stay legal in this country?

3) how long is the procesing time?
4) and any right of appeal in FLRO cases?
