forbc123 wrote:@rajasekhar - have you got royal mail tracking number - did you check if that is delivered?
If it is delivered as stated on royal mail - that proof is enough
Even I applied through NCS on 5th - reached on 8th to Liverpool
Also, from number of previous posts it is evident that acknowledgement letter will be sent out on the day payments are taken (and not the day payments appear on statement)
So give it a few more days!
i just called the office , she confirmed that the application is received by Home office on 8th Oct. I am seeing posts now that for some people it has taken 2 weeks for the fees to be deducted. if this is case, i think the whole approval process will take easily more than 3 months!!! i am happy i did thru NCS , if i had posted by passport, it would have been a long wait.

i called up my NCS office where I applied, she checked my name and checked the royal mail tracking website i guess to tell me when the application reached them. it is still not acknowledged obviously by Home office , when i wrote they received , i meant they application is delivered to them .

It is worth noting that at the NCS appointment, I was told that "they were getting overwhelmed" due to the new rules and to expect 3-4 weeks to receive the acknowledgement letter.

Waiting times vary from applicant to applicant, like family applications need more checks and individual could be taking less time, MN1 could be even more straightforward (or complex too) from previous posts I see that on an average it takes 4-6 weeks (some it took 2+ months too) from the date payment is taken
but due to change of rules - there may additional 2 week delay!

I was a bit surprised as all other NCS posters mentioned Royal Mail as the delivery service.
MY local NCS uses Secure DX as well.

Thanks desertlord
I think the transaction title varies based on the card you are using. I checked and when I paid for my son's MN1 with HSBC it appeared as Nationality Direct Liverpool but couldn't use that card for myself because it is expiring end of October and I haven't received the new one so didn't want to risk it.
I paid with M&S bank which is also HSBC in disguise so was wondering if I can safely assume that they have the same system and I can just give them the same name.
