i just applied for mine on the 8th of jan 2014 but i dont understand why you put £874? I put my fee as £954 because its including the ceremony which is £80quid that they will refund you if your application is unsuccessful. should i have just put 874?? i am sooo confused now

By the way, my wife now wants to call the council to book her ceremony as I know for a fact that she does not need to wait for the ceremony invitation letter but how about our 5 year old child?
The HO letter states "Your children 's applications have also been successful. They are not required to make an oath and pledge but will be invited to attend the ceremony and be presented with their certificates"
so will the HO post her Registration Certificate? or will our child be given that on the ceremony day? also does my wife need to book our child's ceremony too? We are a bit confused so please can you gurus help us? Thanks.

It is £874 and that amount includes the ceremony fees also. Hopefully the HO will refund you the rest of the money that you overpaid.

omg!!!! thank you i did not read that part properly. hopefully it wont be a hustle for me to get that 80quid back uurrgghh!!! fingers crossed my caseworker will be having a good day and grant me my naturalisation by mid march at least lol

My account balance dropped this afternoon. Seems like there is some sort of progress for applicants sent between 29th - 30th October. Waiting to receive the acknowledgment letter.

At last got my approval letter today. I'm so happy and best of luck for everyone else. This board has been the helpline in our immigration journey which as come to an end. I'm very thankful to each and everyone on this board. Just a little hurdle ceremony and passport application left, compared to what we have gone through it is just nothing.

I was checking royal mail tracking no a few times a day, yesterday got tired of it and today at 9 am there was a delivery. I opened the parcel and I have a British citizenship.

A couple of questions for the group:

1. I received my acknowledgement of application via e-mail. It appears everyone seems to get this via Royal Mail. I live in Germany, so I'm assuming that might be why. However, do you think I should expect Royal Mail to Germany for receipt of approval or another e-mail?

2. I've seen people refer to a case # for their application. When I received my e-mail there was no id # of any sort, so I have nothing to refer to if I need to check back with UKBA. Do most have this?

You'll note from my previous post that I applied two weeks before you and had my money debited a month before you, and I have no decision. The reality is that while there are trends that you can watch, there is nothing to do but hurry up and wait. Good luck.

I have almost identical time line with you and have not received an approval yet either. From my observation the majority of October applicants, especially those who applied on the 21st and 22nd of October, who have received approvals, are those who are either married to a BC or are EEA nationals. Probably if my guess is correct, you do not fall into either of these categories?

Hi statisticians we have on board, who are all legends, kindly give us an analysis of applicants who applied for naturalization under the various categories , e.g those who are married to BC, EEC nationals, HSMP/Tier 1, Long residence, etc and how many in these categories have had fees deducted and approvals received. It will be helpful information.
