Not sure about nationality application, but for LTR and other immigrant applications there is only 28 days period till you can use the older version of the form. So going by this logic, I too would say that any applications on or after 28th should be on new form.

If you check the previous timelines- ppl tend to get approval letters within the same month, its strange that no one has received any approvals yet.

Still no fees taken out which is quite frustrating now. Applied on 5th Oct and was received on 8th Oct.

Looking at the current trends, expect payment to be taken on 1-7 november. Any date before that is a bonus. But it appears that that once payment is taken, there is no further delays ie it should take about 25-30 days for the approval after payment.

We will have to wait and see - my own view is that they have been so swamped in October, it could take several months for them to clear the backlog.

If you look at timelines, applicants who had their payment taken as late as 2nd october have received their approvals. So it is not looking that bad. Yes there are lots more applications to beat the deadline, but on the other hand from 28th october there will be lot less applications than normal as whoever wanted to beat the deadline would have already applied. So all in all, the whole thing should not add more than 2-3 weeks additional time. I still think that once payment is taken, it should still take only about 25 days for the approval to come through.

I guess it is the time for folks to check with their banks if the payments are in process, if applied on or after 9th payments should have been taken by now...

Applied on 9th Oct 13, received at HO on 10th Oct.
Still fees is not taken.
Called HO this morning, the lady took my name, DOB and nationality and said my case is still not on the system.
She mentioned they are swamped due to the 28th Oct deadline.
A bit frustrating that things are not moving.
Wish I had applied earlier in September.
Hoping all goes well...soon!

Hi Krish - hmm doesn't surprise me...case worker should have already had applications stacked up from previous 2 weeks I guess once they are cleared could be in a week or two they will touch our application and start processing it...may be once processing is done...looks like a minimum of 2-3 weeks wait for us before we can write email to ask for status...

Same here. I'll email them on Monday. I did make sure my bank was aware that the charge was coming through, so that should not be an issue.
