Emailed them and got a fairly quick response.
Apparently due to high volume applications i should give it another week or two for payment to be processed if nothing has happened then i should contact them again.

Frustratingggg

Still fees is not taken.
Called HO this morning, the lady took my name, DOB and nationality and said my case is still not on the system.
She mentioned they are swamped due to the 28th Oct deadline.
A bit frustrating that things are not moving.
Wish I had applied earlier in September.
Hoping all goes well...soon!
There were some folks whose payments were taken on Saturdays & Sundays so you should be okay...all is still well :D

Same here. I'll email them on Monday. I did make sure my bank was aware that the charge was coming through, so that should not be an issue.
or call them if possible...looks like folks are receiving standard replies...

I'm guessing we're in the same pile as you then.....I think realistically we shouldn't be concerned until 2nd week of November...

Hi forbc123,

Yes I did call 08706067766 and selected option 2. Got through fairly quickly. It is worth giving a try.

looks like around 14-15 days for fees to be taken...hopefully things won't slow down, now that the 25th Oct deadline has passed and ukba will start processing quicker the application lines that should get thinner now.my timeline starts at ukba on the 18th, so i'm expecting any changes in my credit card statement around 31-01.11.the only thing that kills you is the "waiting"game we all play, constant thoughts if anything goes wrong, and so on...all we can do is wait.hang in there guys, as they say "good things happen to those who wait".i sure hope so...

Eligibility criteria: 5 years (Though I've been living here for 15+years with Indefinite Leave to remain since 1997) Don't even bother asking people, it is a long stooory why it was never done until now
Method of application: Self
Date of application: 23/10/13 (1st Class Recorded Delivery)
Date of receipt by UKBA: 24/10/13 08:14 BST
Date of acknowledgement:
Date of debit of fees:
Date of approval:
Date of Ceremony:

So now I begin my journey to receive my application back but since we are in October I won't start getting worried until the 23 of December, so roughly am giving it 2 months.

You cannot count time you have spent in the United Kingdom while exempt from immigration control as part of the residential qualifying period. If you are in the United Kingdom as a diplomat or as a member of visiting armed forces or if you are in any place of detention, you would be considered exempt from immigration control. This time would be treated as absence from the United Kingdom.

Its from ukba website
