You can contact Royal mail and check the status or reason for delay in delivery.

The information given by UKBA might be wrong. you need to wait for 1 week
may receive acknowledgement.

the number you have dialed , will not have any update until the reference number allocates to the application.

I think , the UKBA is taking 2 to 4 weeks to assign the reference number to the application..

Response from UKBA

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately without a tracking reference number we are unable to confirm if an application has been received.

It can be three or four weeks from when an application is received before it is registered and showing on our systems.

I would suggest you contact us again in a few weeks to check again.

Kind regards,

The blame game has started now between Home Office, Royal Mail and NCS Hamilton.

I am really disappointed the way this case is being dealt.

NCS Hamilton says, they have delivered to correct address

Royal Mail-Customer Care Says, they have delivered to the PO Box

Royal Mail-Liverpool Delivery Office Says: Address was wrongly written so it was not
delivered and they DO NOT know where the Special Delivery Envelop is now!!

UKBA Says: They DID NOT receive the envelop (applications)

I am lost now not knowing what to do..............................most unluckiest person on this earth!

Any pointers please..........

My local NCS office says they use DX Secure post, not Royal Mail. So some difference there too between NCS offices.

My biggest worry is that, our application (Special Delivery) was Delivered to a PO BOX.

Where as all other people who mentioned on this thread told that their applications were received in PERSON and also they were signed as a proof.

Do you guys see see anything wrong with this?

@desertlord - Posted by NCS on 7th, but what I saw is the day It was signed for i.e on 8th, by some body, it mentioned it was delivered using LIVERPOOL WEST delivery office. I checked on 12th again tracking status now says
it was delivered from WARRINGTON local delivery office

I guess nothing to be worried if tracker shows name of person signed for and office local to LIVERPOOL (WARRINGTON is 20 minute drive to UKBA office - checked on google maps and could be main delivery head office in that region)

So need not not panic!

Guys, as I understand (only my understanding could be wrong too) NCS should have posted in BULK using a BAG probably for people who used that service on that day or day before

Special Delivery is service that grantees next day delivery and signature is mandatory

I imagine that bulk of applications would have reached which ever address, in your situation if it was a PO BOX as long as it is signed by responsible collection authority is should be fine

I sent some thing in past it was delivered to PO BOX but it was signed for. Not to get too much into nitty gritties the only answer I have is you are SAFE!

Unfortunately there is no proof of signature nor it was mentioned that it was collected.

It is just showing: Sitting in PO BOX, Awaiting Collection.

I am really going gaga.....

@akhan25 have you tracked your special delivery on royal mail website? what does it say? Signed by person or PO Box or still waiting deliver/collection from PO BOX?

@akhan25 The discussion is going on a different track. Leave the side-stream of travel.

Issue is about receipt of applications sent by Special Delivery.

If you have any information please put it here, thanks.

NCS has given the Royal mail Tracking number only . When i track the parcel using the tracking number the status was showing delivered to Warrington with proof of signature (woods).
