I am worried, two months and nothing and in my case I am EEA, got permanent resident card, so no idea why no reply yet.

I noticed who has a resident card, it takes 10-21 days after money taken off the account, 10-21 days if u married to BC, so no idea why 2 months already

There were a handful reported on Friday and one on Saturday (anustaya), but none since then. Pure chance? Or could it be that the HO are going to send out a bunch at once?

That would be great, I am hoping mine will be amongst them, good luck everyone!

No Wonder May wants to scrap UKBA

Post by Real34 » Tue Dec 03, 2013 10:12 am

UKBA has had 6 months notice of the rule change on the 28th of Oct, yet nobody could anticipate that their would be a high volume of applications.

Mine was recieved on 23rd Oct yet no letter of acknowledgemnt or debit till date.

I mean come on 6 weeks just to debit an account, that's highly inefficent.

Wait for 2 more weeks, Xmas holidays are coming up.. I'm fearing worst now...

Home Office will now try to process as many EXISTING applications as possible (those are received on/before 25th Oct) before going on Xmas holidays, so obviously no loading on new rule applications on the system before new year... & no fees will be taken until loading of application. If you really really hoping best, then max they may take fees, but I don't see possibility of any approvals for new rule applicants before new year now..

Not really hoping for approval before xtmas but debitting of fees at least shows that it is in the system and being worked upon and some sort of efficency.

Thanks for updating us adil2009.

That means that for the period October 1-20 out of 133 applications posted in this forum only 3 applicants have not yet reported that they had their fees deducted. One of those was delayed due to missing payment slip and another one sent a cheque, which is unusual. fatalist? thrope? Eliasthom? any update on that? From October 21st onwards the situation is more patchy.

lad2777 - I have also noticed that EEA applicants are taking longer than if someone was spouse of BC or had ILR. Don't despair as you are not alone. My application reached HO on 14th October and am still waiting. It is frustrating seeing applicants who applied way after me receive their approvals but am not going to let this run me crazy. Am off on holiday in a few days time and hopefully the envelop will in my letter box on my return. :)

You have 90 days to attend a ceremony after receiving your approval, so plenty of time. See here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... /ceremony/

You don't get invited to a ceremony. You need to book it yourself within 3 months.

I though they send a ceremony date with decision/approval

I think they send the letter with a date which will be a group ceremony. and individuals who opt to book private speak to council.. may be..

Has anyone contacted home office regarding payments for 23rd Oct onwards applicants in last couple of days? Any meaningful response ( other than standard 2-4 weeks& busy times 7 weeks)? It's going to be 6 weeks tomorrow. That's awful time just to acknowledge, just to take payment. ..
