My friend is on holiday in Spain. Her BRP card is stolen but she has her Indian passport.
Her schengen visa is valid only until 7th Oct. So she needs to return to UK then. She is in Barcelona and the British Consulate is in Madrid.
Does anyone know how long would it take for the Replacement BRP Visa to be issued? There are no contact numbers for UKBA and the Consulates are not being very helpful in providing information.
Problem is that if she does not get the BRP Visa (Single entry) to come back to UK by 7th, she will need to travel back to India as she cannot overstay her Schengen visa.
Can someone help on what could be the best way out of this situation?
