Tier-1:Indefinite Leave to remain help

Post by indnand09 » Fri Oct 11, 2013 10:14 pm

Hi,

I am currently on Tier-1 Migrant visa in UK and planning to apply for indefinite leave to remain soon.
If we apply this month, number of absence in a year is 186 days as I had gone outside UK for delivery. If we apply in the first week of November Number of days will be less than 180 days. But then we heard immigration rules are changing on 28th October 2013.I have degree certificate and letter from university confirming medium of instruction was English. But my husband has only degree certificate as proof.
But point based calculator is awarding 30 points for his university. We both have passed Life in the UK test
Can someone please advise on the exact changes after 28th October 2013.
Should we take some other exam or our degree certificates enough ?or should we be getting NAARIC certificates,

Many Thanks,
IV

Thanks very much for the reply.

If we are applying on first week of Nov,absence will be 178.
But as I stated early,my husband only has his degree certificate as proof. But his qualification is on points based calculator. We are worried about the changes after 28th october.Do you think we should be okay ?

Many Thanks,
Indu
