US Citizen Married to Irish Citizen Moving to Ireland

Post by guardship » Sat Oct 12, 2013 8:59 pm

We are currently in the US, and are moving to Ireland to live in a few months. As I understand the process for me (US citizen), I enter Ireland on my passport and tell the immigration officer that I am entering Ireland with the to reside with my wife. Then we go to the Garda station and I register and get the stamp for my passport and immigration card. Is this correct?
Thanks so much for any help.
