family visitor visa question

Post by mr khan » Sun Oct 13, 2013 9:50 pm

Hi a family member has come to stay with me for 2 months. The visa they have been given shows for 6 months. On the number of entries it says multi. Does that mean we dont have to apply for an extension.

You cannot extend a visit visa. The date it expires is the date he must depart.

S/he may extend before expiry of leave, if s/he has spent less than six months in the UK.
