Providing Original Documents that are held by Institutions

Post by siroc » Mon Oct 14, 2013 10:58 pm

Hi,

I'm applying for EEA2 on the basis of my wife being a student in the UK. She is studying under the Erasmus programme (i.e. cross-institutionally) in the UK, with her home university being in Lithuania.

There are two documents I plan to include in my application:
1. Signed evidence of her Erasmus scholarship (to be used under 'proof of adequate funds')
2. A signed learning agreement between her home university and the university in the UK (this is provided as an additional document to her enrolment letter - the reason being that the Learning Agreement specifies the course end date whereas the enrolment letter does not)

The problem I am facing is that the former document remains the legal property of her home university in Lithuania, whereas the latter remains the legal property of her university in the UK.

While I can provide scanned copies of these signed documents, with a note to explain that the originals are legally held by X and Y universities, I want to know if this would be accepted by the UKBA under these circumstances?
