Both my passport and BRP were stolen on 13/10..I have reported this to police and obtained a Crime reference number.
I have also written & got my BRP cancelled and have applied for a replacement BRP via post yesterday.
I went to CGI Birmingham today to apply for a new passport and was told they would need proof of my UK Visa (I am on tier-1 G currently).
Unfortunately, I dont have any copies of my BRP and the original one is stolen..they have asked me to apply only after I get my BRP sorted.
I realize obtaining a replacement BRP might take time (probably 2-3 weeks or more).
I have my tickets booked for India travel Mid-November.
Q1) Assuming I get my BRP sorted in 2-3 weeks, what options I do I have to get a passport sorted..should I request for a Emergency travel doc from CGI which usually takes 2-3 days or is it all gloom and doom and I need to cancel my tickets
?Q2) Am i doing all things right here or is there some other way?
