Can family travel without BRP?

Post by trends » Fri Oct 18, 2013 6:39 pm

Hi,

We have to travel to India on 01-Nov. I have applied my Tier 1 extension (which is approved) and awaiting BRP cards for all of us.

In case BRP cards don't arrive by then, can my family travel without BRP first and I'll travel later with all our BRP cards. They can then use the BRP while coming back.

Can there be any problem?

Thanks for your response

I was previously stopped by the border agency who asked to see my passport. at the point of departure. It rarely happens but it does.

Can you reschedule your flight till you get your BRP?

they may indeed ask for your immigration status when you are boarding the plane -- it sometimes happens but I imagine if you have an approval letter that should suffice.

you are not absolutely prohibited, only "strongly advised" not to travel before you receive brp

however i imagine also that you will certainly receive your brp between now and the 1st november, it rarely takes more than 3 days or so
