Hold tight Shiftingsands. The UKBA are currently up to Oct 22nd with taking fees and the acknowledgement is normally only sent when the fees are taken so you've got a little while to wait yet. I wouldn't bother holding my breath until maybe 2nd week of December.

My acknowledgment took 2 days to arrive, so was getting a bit worried. Guess I'll just have to wait it out.rikken wrote:Second-class post can sometimes take over a week, be patient it'll arrive soon.Roxmallon wrote:Still nothing in the post, should I be concerned?Roxmallon wrote:I called HO today and the lady confirmed that something was sent out on the 10th!!

It means your application hasn't been looked at yet. Still in the pile..loveandbeloved wrote:What does it mean if your application is 'incomplete'? Has it even been assigned to a caseworker? The wait is killing me! Here's to a week full of approvals!!!
They do work on your application even if it hasn't been allocated to a case worker. Criminal checks, HMRC checks, referee checks etc.collipu wrote:It means your application hasn't been looked at yet. Interesting, I thought otherwise. Are you sure about this?rikken wrote:They do work on your application even if it hasn't been allocated to a case worker. Typically once it does get to a case worker the application is just about ready to be finalised. All the case worker does is look at all the checks that have come back and makes a yes/no decision.
