i have received mine today.

applied 4th November.
Received 1st March letter dated 20th Feb. (cheeky buggers post 2nd class).

Congratulations....enjoy the moment. Shame they don't use 1st class despite charging a fortune in fees.

Il Just phoned them now, and they told me they just started dealing with application from 3rd of November. I already heard this from a previous post, so I think they just give this reply to all the guys phoning them.
My application was sent 19th of Nov.
We don't heard anymore approval for Oct and Nov applicant.

Anybody else from October November got a response ? Or tried to get an update ?

Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): B1 equivalent ESOL Test

I called them today to check status and I was told by the lady that my application is in progress and not completed yet so I am expecting another couple of months .......

Just to update you guys, I called them today again and I was told same thing that my application is not completed yet and is in progress. I really have no clue what they are up to and why they are taking so long . I think the best strategy is to wait as calling them is not beneficial at all or not gona make progressing of your application quicker.

I called them today after two weeks with the hope that i would hear some news... ..but never mind... I hope i get approval very soon inshAllah ..

I rang them today and as usual the same lame response ... I wonder how dumb these people at the other end of the phone are ... if they cannot atleast give some real response or atleast do some check and see whats actually happening with the application, then why even bother have these useless people answer the phones.

Rather than having these people on phone its best they have an online checking system where we can straightaway check the real status of our application.

Abusing HO personnel by calling them names is not going to help. They are not going to help if people start behaving rudely. That's one thing missing from the life in UK test - emphasis on politeness and it's importance to Britishness.

I just said they are taking the priority infact giving the priority (otherwise that would have been grammatically incorrect)to january application rather then sorting oct n nov application...lolz...

I agree with you Eureka !!!

Definately politeness doesn't mean you bending down and keep your mouth shut, no matter whats done to you... If you got some self respect you would never stand down injustice done to you ... its just human to raise voice whenever there is injustice in the air, that too especially for law abiding citizens.

It looks like when we phone they actually do not check anything and just lie. just pretend like the TV advert that they are really busy. May be in the beginning they were truthful but after someone mentioned here on the forum you can ask for the update many people called and they lost the patience. (My theory!)
