English Language Requirement for applying BC

Hello All,

Sorry to open a new discussion on same topic . Replies in previous topics are quite confusing for me . I can apply for BC on or after 19th Nov 2013.

in last 6 years, I am on Tier2 visa + Tier 1 Visa + Tier 1 Extension + ILR.

I didn't submitted any IELTS certificate or Naric certificate while coming to UK on Tier 2 visa.

I am having below documents with me

1. I have a Bachelor degree from Madras University , INDIA
2. Expired IELTS certificate with band 7 [ valid till 2006 ] , I have written this one thinking to study in UK . But never used it.
3. All documents that I submitted for ILR [ including life in UK ] + last 1 year documents.

My main questions are -

Do I have to take a Naric certificate about my Bachelor degree
and
Write IELTS or similar exam in UK

or

as I already have an expired IELTS one , can it be sufficient to apply for BC.

What was the outcome of your application?

I'm in the same boat. did my BCOM from Madras University and the degree was taught in english.
Would the Certificate of completion considered sufficient for British Citizenship application.
