Dependents status if the main applicant alone goes for ILR

Post by chalapshcbt » Wed Nov 06, 2013 10:03 am

Hi

I have Tier 1 Visa for one more year, but I am eligible for applying ILR now because I have completed 5 years in the UK (Tier 1 and Tier 2 combination). My wife is still not eligible for ILR, but she too has Tier 1 dependent visa for one more year. What will happen to her dependent Visa if I alone apply and get ILR? Please advise?

Thanks
Chalaps

Nothing will happen. She may enter/remain as a Tier 1 dependant.

Hi,
I'm also in the same situation I current hold a PBS dependent visa. But the main applicant already got ILR through long residency. ( was previously on tier 2 just before ILR).

Would the same also apply to me as you answered above.
I will be going for PEO appointment soon as I have been here 10 years also?

Would it still be alright for me to hold the tier 2 dependent while mum has ILR. I don't want to risk loosing A lot of money.

Probably okay to remain until expiry. Risky if travelling.
