Dependant of (Tier 2 but will apply for ILR on 10 yr basis)

Post by bb2012 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:55 am

Hi,

I am preparing for next year to apply for ILR on 10 years basis, and I am trying to collect and gather all necessary information.

My Situation:
=========
I am on Tier 2 Visa will be expiring on may 2014. However I will be completing my 10 years in UK in January 2014.

My Wife joined me in UK in 2009 as Tier 1 (PSW dependent). Currently she is on Tier 2 Dependent since May 2011.

I have two kids born in UK during this time.
===============================================

My Queries:
========
I am planning to apply for ILR on 10 years basis in January 2014.

1. I understood from different posts and reading on UKBA website that my wife needs to apply for FLR(M) before her leave expires?

2. If I will successfully get ILR and My wife get FLR(M). Then what will be the qualifying period for her 2years or 5 years?

3. Will the period since 2009 she is here in UK, counted as qualifying period, or the clock will reset from the time when she will get the FLR(M)?

4. Will my children need to apply for FLR(M), or would they be able to register as British Citizen after I get my ILR even their PBS Dependent leave expires?
=============================================

Sorry if I am thick and could not understood answers for above questions already present in UKBA or this forum.

I will be very thankful if some one could answer these questions.

Kind Regards

vinny
