ltd company and Tier2 form

Post by kpatel » Fri Nov 08, 2013 12:13 am

Dear All,

Can you please help me on following two doubts?

1) I am on Tier4 dependant visa and allowed to work full time. But I am not sure that I can open Limited company or not? Because my solicitor told me that It is illegal to open ltd company on my visa

2) Now I am switching to Tier2 visa but got doubts while fill in forms. But in this section I do not have enough space to write last five years addresses., only one address space is given.

(Section J - Previous addresses This section asks you to provide details about any previous addresses you may have lived at within the last five years together with any addresses you may have lived at within northern Ireland.)

I appreciate your help guys.

Thanks in advance.

If you are at present a T4 dependant you can switch to T2G in the UK.

If your wife is at present a T4 student there is no requirement for her to show any progress report for her studies when switching to become a PBS dependant

Thanks Manci,

Asper my understanding i do not have to go to my home country for my Tier2 application, I can apply from within UK.

"I am making changes to the rules for dependants in the Points Based System and other work routes, following the High Court judgment in R (on the application of Zhang) v Secretary of State for the Home Department.
The changes will allow dependants to apply from within the UK, providing they are not here illegally, as visitors, or on temporary admission or temporary release. They will still need to satisfy all other existing requirements."

Can you switch into Tier 2 (General)?

If you currently have permission to stay in the UK under any of the following immigration categories, you can apply to Tier 2 (General) from inside the UK:
any Tier 1 category
Tier 2 (Sportsperson)
Tier 2 (Minister of religion)
Tier 2 (Intra company transfer: established staff), if you are applying to switch sponsor
Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010, if you are applying to change sponsor
any Tier 4 category
Tier 5 (Temporary worker - creative and sporting), for a job as a professional footballer - but you must meet the Tier 2 (Sportsperson) requirements, including English language
dependent partner of a Tier 4 migrant

from 1st October any PBS dependent can apply within UK (this change is due to Chinese couple won case against UKBA), it means we both can apply from UK.

Please let me know if i am wrong.

Cheers
Kpatel
