My Dearest Friend Kickass - I strongly believe that not replying on the forum within 24 hrs of posting the topic should not be concluded as "Wicked". Like you, I am also "AAM AADMI" and as you know AAM AADMI has got lots of things to do throughout the day....isn't it ???? ;-)))

Anyways, A BIG THANK YOU to ALL FOR YOUR WISHES. And yeah a very special thank you to Rehan since I have been reading everything he used to post ...thanks buddy !!

So here I go with the answers to the above asked questions :

1) On my visiting card I had BOTH my designation as well as the "golden word" MANAGING DIRECTOR, so in your case it should be lets say
MR XXX (Managing Director/I.T Consultant)

2) YES, I have my name on my website. In the CONTACT US tab of your website, it can be exactly in the same way as in your business card.

3)Entrepreneur Form - October Version - click on the 2nd link listed within the following link:

http://search.homeoffice.gov.uk/search? ... &Submit=Go

4) I applied from within UK. PSW TO 50k Category.

5)Funds held within UK - Bank NATWEST UK, so ALL letters received from them. Although, I would like to tell you that it was not that easy to get all the required letters. May god bless the Old Customer Care Manager
who helped me out without getting irritated.

P.S - By no means, this should be seen as a positive picture for Natwest. I personally like Barclays ;-))

6) Nature of business - I.T consultant

7) Bank provided a simple letter which stated the names of both the joint account holders, balance on that specific date and stating that both the members have access to the funds.

8) The cover letter doesn't need to be out of this world. Just simple letter which should list all the docs that are present in the application along with REQUESTING and CONFIDENT words within the letter ;-)))

Thumb Rule for those who will be applying --> Your opponent is smart, so you need to be OVER-SMART ;-))

Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Application form (version 10/13) Page 23

Could you please explain the answer to following question?

Is the money available to your business rather than to you by name?
Yes - You must provide a Companies House document showing the address of the
registered office in the UK, or head office if there is no registered office in the UK and your
name, as it appears on the application form, as a director. You must be a director for the
business at the time the money is, or was, made available.

Money is available in UK PERSONAL ACCOUNT.

Post by smartmind101 » Sun Nov 10, 2013 9:12 pm

KICKASS – If that’s what you mean by WICKED, then I have no problem in accepting the TAG given by you ;-)) In the meanwhile MR RIAZ has got some HOME OFFICE POLICY STRATEGY to surprise us. Lets look at it. Like you – even I am keen to know what it is … ;-)))

RIAZ – Keeping aside your debatable sense of humour, I would like to thank you for your wishes too ;-)) Anyways, I would like to share it with ALL why getting this visa is SO VERY SPECIAL to me:

1) I started keeping an eye on this forum about 1 year ago, but the fact is – I got aware about this Visa Cat Route THE VERY NEXT DAY it was introduced in April 2012. Not sure if you keep awareness about news related to UKBA, but I was sure that a special visa would be introduced for PSW Holders since in April 2011, UKBA announced that it will have a COOL OFF Period of 1 year for PSW Holders.
2) I decided to go for this visa and had a consultation with a knowledgeable solicitor in April 2012 itself, where I was told by the solicitor that I am the first person to meet him for PSW – Ent Visa Route (Until now, he was only dealing for simple Ent Visa 200k Category from within UK).
3) It took me 8 months to accumulate the 50K (Nobody has 50K with him/her. We all get it from our parents. Unless one is a drug dealer ;-))
4) I prepared my Business Plan myself and it contained answer to every question that the HOME Office could have been doubtful about.
5) I did not get the visa solely because I had UK Bank Account. There are many who have been rejected despite having money in UK Bank Account. I got it because my application was very strong. So strong that after applying for it, I was 99% sure that it will turn out to be successful (1% is always left on the shoulders of LADY LUCK ;-)) )
6) Even though this visa meant a life to me, I applied for it myself without keeping any sol(shit)eater in the loop and thus, probably saving about 1500GBP from my pocket.

So my friend Riaz, please do not credit my luck and doubt my intellect, vigilance and awareness ;-))
GOD HELPS THOSE, WHO HELP THEMSELVES. ;-))

This Visa is not only my victory. It is a victory and a positive sign for all those who keep their ears and eyes open and show the guts to prepare and apply the application on their own rather then paying for almost everything to the solicitor for no reason.

In the meanwhile I, Kickass and (may be) many other readers in this forum are willing to know about the Home Office Policy which have managed to leak out ;-)

MUHAMMED – As far as your question goes on page no. 23, this question has lately been introduced by home office in the Oct version of the form. What they meant to do here was - making it clear to the applicant that the money needs to be in his personal account and NOT business account, but unfortunately they have introduced a wrong question in a VERY wrong format.
THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS – YES (That is what I ticked on in my application, which returned successful). The question should have been actually the other way round saying that the money is available to you rather then to your business. Only then the YES with the written text makes sense. Think yourself - does it make any sense to have an option which is not right and along with it, it is asking for companies house report.
Another wrong fact in this question is – question is asking about MONEY and then the given below option is asking about CAR…….Home Office acts funny sometimes ;-))) Anyways, GO FOR THE YES OPTION, I am 100% sure that’s what they want irrespective of the way they have asked the question. Hope that clears your doubt bro ;-))

And once again – HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO ALL THE WELL WISHERS ;-))
Now its time for some – Chicken Biryani, Lassi & Punjabi music which will be followed by an Akshey Kumar movieeeee ;-)))

£50k. Business or personal account

Post by gt23 » Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:09 pm

Hi smartmind

Currently on PSW. I am applying for a tier 1 entrepreneur visa with my friend as an entrepreneurial team in Human Resource Management consultancy. We have opened a business bank account with Barclays as a joint account with my friend. So, shall we keep the money in the Business barclays account. Or Joint Current Account with any bank.

Also, how many likes you had on facebook and linkedin followers for your business?

Do we need to have a business landline telephone number?

With advertising what type of advertisement is legitimate for UKBA? I mean to say is gumtree ok?

Also, is it ok to use company name as for exmaple- xyz consultancy PARTNERSHIP LTD ?

Thanks

No Problem my friend…..here are the answers to your questions:

1) You need to have ur money in either a personal joint current or a personal joint savings account in any bank but NOT in a business account.
2) It does not matter how many likes you take on FB or any other social media advert. What matters most is your advert with a correct description of ur business and ALL the required details which you can find in the guidelines such as designation, telephone number, email id etc etc
3) Yes, you need to have a landline number.
4) Any kind of online advert is fine with home office. It does not matter which one…gumtree, linkedin, FB and if you search in google there are many more. Use any one, it does not matter at all. ;-)
5) To be honest I am not sure about PARTNERSHIP word within the company name. Most simple and straight forward one XYZ Private Limited.

Hope that answers your queries ;-))

Thanks

Thanks Smartmind.

Do they backdate the visa to the date your PSW expired or issue it with the later date- when they approve it.

If I have any other questions i will message u here.

Please check this post regularly.

Thanks

I received Royal mail first which had my docs along with my passport and then my BRP via DX Courier, but it does not mean it will be same for all. You can receive them in any order. Normally BRP comes first but it can differ from 1 application to another.

The visa is issued from the date your application is approved and not from the date ur PSW expires. ;-))
