G22 and G23 questions in Application form

Post by ceobot » Mon Nov 11, 2013 6:22 pm

In Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) application form there are two questions:

G22 What is your job title?
G23. What is your standard occupational classifcation (SOC) code that most closely matches the work that you do?

I don't understand the meaning of G22 questions. Do they need to know my job title in business or the job title related to SOC code ?

I am Business Development manager in my Interior Agency. so the answer on G22 should be Interior Designer or Business Development Manager ?

Many thanks in advance!

Your job title should be related to Home Office guideline to avoid any surprise from caseworker making silly excuse, so make sure you choose your job title from Home Office published list and then put the SOC code in the list together with the job title on your form.

For your reference, here is the Home Office published SOC/job title guideline;

Thanks for help but actually you didn't answer my question.

My core business is Interior Design. The soc code is 3422. However my job position in the company is Business Development Manager. Should I write business development manager is G22 question ?

@ ceobot, its your job title in the business that is required to be filled in section G22 and the SOC code of the job title should be filled in section G23
