Hi Gurus and Members,
I have received my comparability and english language assessment (ELA) from UK NARIC for my Master degree. As I have done 2-years bachelor and then 2-years master degree from back home (16 years education) so the comparability is equals to British Bachelor (ordinary) degree, which is fair enough.
But to my surprise the ELA certificate states that my degree doesn't meed the C1 level but confirmed that "English is the medium of instructions in teaching and examination system of the department providing the award".
When I called UK NARIC today to clarify this then the lady told me that they only do assessment of degrees to match CEFR C1 level. So if my degree doesn't match with CEFR C1 then it doesn't mean I can use this certificate as evidence that it has met CEFR B1 level
Well to cut the story short....
when I applied for UK NARIC assessments, we all here was confused about new rules. Now I can see that rules are much clear and I can still provide my old IELTS certificate to show that I have already met English Language Requirements (Right)??
Another thing to ask, with IELTS old certificate, may I need to provide UK NARIC Comparability certificate and degree or just omit it altogether? Please advice. Thank you.
