Thank you for the prompt reply. So the salary of £17,500 can be considered to be appropriate salary for a Tandoori Chef for the purposes of Indefinite leave to Remain. there are different categories of chefs, see p165:

If not a "skilled chef", "other chefs" only need £15k salary after deductions for accommodation, meals, etc
