Chef is drawing a salary of £17,500 and completing five years as a work permit holder next month. What is the appropriate salary as per the Code of Practice? The Code of Practice prescribes over £29,000 for a skilled chef. Does it mean the a chef applying for settlement should have salary above £29,000?

If not a "skilled chef", "other chefs" only need £15k salary after deductions for accommodation, meals, etc

Thank you for the prompt reply. So the salary of £17,500 can be considered to be appropriate salary for a Tandoori Chef for the purposes of Indefinite leave to Remain. I was thinking chef on a work permit falls in the category of skilled chef.
