Tier 1 (General) Dependent extension

Post by mailvikig » Mon Mar 17, 2014 1:14 pm

Hi,

I am applying for my Tier 1 General visa (main applicant) and also applying for my wife's dependent visa application at the same time. I understand the Maintenance Funds requirement is £900 (main applicant) and £600 (dependent application as i am in UK for more than 12 months). Therefore, I have maintained a balance of £1500+ for the last 90 days in my 'individual account'.

My question is - do I need to maintain funds in my wife's account (individual or joint) in order to claim points for the category? OR because I have maintained the total in my own account, the requirement is met and my wife will get the required points?

Many thanks for your help!

Regards,
Viki

Dependent don't need to score points.
As you have kept sufficient funds in your account i.e. Main Applicant's account, you have met the requirements.

So relax and don't over complicate matters which are pretty straight forward.
