Final Help

Post by Dowhat » Sun Jun 01, 2014 10:15 am

I have finally decided to apply this week for my residence.I need some further clarification. My family permit is expired. My wife has not worked since we came.I have been the only one working.I have taken a comprehensive insurance policy, which cost me 92 pounds for both of us.I have few days to cancel it.Which I plan to,having discovered here it could cost less for both of us.
I do not want to go through the agony of been refused the residence card,so I do seek your eternal help on this.As my case seem dicey and tricky.Need to get everything right. We both have a joint account, tenancy agreement from a private landlord,CSI,and council tax.The electricity bill is in my name. Will this be enough proof,or do I need more.
1.Will my wife will be excising treaty right as self sufficient, though am the one working.
2.She has an agency contract, though she never worked for them,as they have never called her for work...can we submit this alongside our application.
3.If she gets a job,am I obliged to continue paying the health insurance.Even though she would be paying tax.The insurance company informed me they are mandated under the law to inform the UKBA about us cancelling the health insurance policy. Will that disqualify me while process is on? or do I continue to pay until the successful approval of the RC.
I had 2 jobs, now I only have one, which is a zero hour contract.I resigned from the other job Will payslips from February be enough evidence, even though most of the earning came from the one I resigned from.
Please I wouldn't mind any suggestions as to what else to submit with my application to have a successful review.I intend to apply as self sufficient.
Cheers.

Firstly, you should keep in mind that applying EEA2 RC is optional and your (non-EU national) activities are irrelevant. However, based on the situation described above the best would be to apply EEA2 once the EU national gets the job and start getting payslips otherwise EU national can become self sufficient based on what you earning. For this purpose the CSI covering whole family will need. Moreover, cancelling the CSI in its cooling off period is not wise because caseworker usually check its few last months payments too. If the the EU national start working then no CSI will need. Hope this answer you.

Thanks Sheraz7,
I intend to apply as self sufficient, cos the longer I wait, the harder it is for me to get a different job with an expired Family permit. As I plan to change job completely, some employers can't be bothered to check my status, despite me telling them and showing the UKBA page that states my legal status.
I intend to change the level of insurance, cos it is way to high,at 92 pounds, having found out a lot here paid less.I have a 14 day window period to cancel the policy. This is the insurance policy below

I have read the higher the excess the lower the cost,so I plan to either discuss a different excess which will be higher to lower the cost I pay monthly or completely shop for another health insurance company.I do not plan to ditch the policy if my application comes out successful. However!I just need the best advice on this one...cos I now realize it is way to expensive for us.
Anyone with a company that offers lower tariff or cheaper deal.
I would like to know in filling the form, should I fill we are staying in UK permanently.Thanks.
