Work Permit Company Name Change Help needed, Please advice

Dear Forum,

I am writing on behalf of someone. My friend got a work permit issued in Nov 2005 and change his job and got a further work permit in Apr 07. Everything is fine but the second company has decided to change the name of the company.

I understand that this should be logged with Home office but not really sure how to do that.

the company will provide change of name certificate and this should be submitted to HO. The lawyer is asking money to do that. Is there a way this can be done without the help of the lawyer?

I will appreciate any help.
