BRITISH CHID RIGHTS

Post by samia1211 » Fri Mar 20, 2015 3:59 pm

I want to know what are the rights of a British child in this country. I moved last year with her coz her father insisted he suddenly wanted to be part of her life so we moved from a country I was settled to UK.

He signed an agreement to maintain us and we were sharing custody. He always has an abusive nature and he started with my daughter as well. In January he hit her, social service the police were involved. After all meetings discussions, they told us ti move boroughs. I have no recourse to pubic funds and now I am struggling with rent and bills trying to maintain my children.

I am looking for work. The social services have refused to help me and my ex is not paying anything to maintain now. He is also not returning her passport. I am struggling to meet the basic needs of my children bt am not getting any help from the government as I have no recourse to public funds.

What do I do?

Cant you take that agreement to court and ask for Child's allowance?
Being British is a state of mind.
