Hello
My husband applied for Spouse visa to come and join me in the UK but this was rejected on the grounds of not meeting the Financial Requirements. We went to appeal and the appeal was also rejected.
We are now going put in a new visa application but have learnt that there are changes in the English Language Test - from 6 April 2015 they will only accept Approved Secure English Language Tests from Approved Test Centres. With the original application we provided City & Guilds certificates ESOL International Listening & ESOL International Spoken (A1) - they were accepted then.
Are the above certificates still accepts?
On the Home Office website it say Transitional Approved Tests are still accepted if taken on or before 5 April and can be used until 5 November 2015. My husband did the exam on 10 May 2014 and was award the certificates on 5 June 2014.
On the HO website it say's... "Secure English Language Tests – Transitional The following is the list of Secure English Language Tests that have been assessed as meeting the Home Office’s requirements from 1 August 2014. These tests can be used in a UK immigration application until 5th November 2015 only when they have been taken on or before 5th April 2015. From 6th April 2015 there will be a new list of approved Secure English Language Tests and Test Centres. Anyone taking a test on or after 6th April 2015 must take one of the new listed tests at one of the approved centres if they wish to use it in a UK Immigration application. The list will be published by the end of February 2015."
Does my husband have to do the English Tests again as he did the tests before 1 August 2014?
Thanks
