MN1 referral from health visitor

Post by ajd » Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:26 pm

Hello everyone!

I am looking to apply for MN1 for my kid born here last year. I got my ILR last week.
However, on the latest form, it needs 2 referrals -
1, One referee should be a professional who has engaged with the child in a professional capacity, such as a teacher, health visitor, social worker or minister of religion.
2. The other referee must normally be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.

My query is about the first one. I live in Hounslow, Middlesex. And for my circumstances, only the 'health visitor' option is open for me. I have initiated conversation with 'Hounslow and Richmond health visitors', but haven't got any response from them yet.

Is there anyone in the same situation? Someone who successfully obtained referral from them?
Any pointers will be highly appreciated, as I need to travel as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Be aware this process of registration and then passport application will take several month/s.

Surely someone from the medical profession has already engaged in a professional capacity if the baby is already 6 or 9 months old.

In any case you can help yourself here and 'engage' with some of these people;
for example, why not visit a local place of worship and take your child with you - you don't have to sign up for life;
or make yourself known to a local pharmacist (they are a professional too) - buy some routine medical & household supplies there & take your child with you.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.
