EEA PR question

Post by Snokrystal » Tue Feb 09, 2016 10:28 am

I hold Dual Nationality Venzeulan and Italian. Im currently working through the EEA PR form to apply for my PR card through my Italian citizenship.
I entered the uk on the 3rd oct 2009 using my Italian passport, but didnt find employment until May 2010. Now on 9.4 of the form "Summary of the relevant EEA national’s activity" Im unsure what to put for those months before I commenced work. I was looking for work but recieved no benefits during that time, although I was issued with a NI number so I could seek work. Just to clarifiy my qualifying period doesnt include the above months as Im using my 5 year employment from may 2010-may 2015 p60's will be given as evidence.

Suggest it was 'jobseeking'. NINO supports that.

Thank you. I thought this is what I had to put was not entirely sure.

Another question which is really bugging me is 5.5 Current or previous EEA residence documentation.

I hold none of the documentation that are listed in the below box as I was born and lived in Venezuela. I got my Italian Nationality from my parents and grandparents who moved to Vez before I was born. Ive answered no to 5.5 but 5.6-5.9 are bugging me.

Would this harm my application in any way?

The form is a generic one that covers all sorts of circumstances - some may not apply to you.

If you don't have such documents you don't have them; just skip those questions.
No harm to application.

Thank you so much, you are very helpful. So much to get my head around

5.6-5.9 are on their own page, do I need to include this page with my application if none applied to me?

No, as guidance suggests, just print & submit the relevant pages.

(You will probably do this anyway, but suggest keep copies of forms submitted for your own reference; also keep scans/copies of all evidence/documents submitted too).
